- I have a B.S. in Business Administration from Montclair State, my M.B.A. in Organizational Development from Upper Iowa University's online program and am currently working on my Elementary Teaching Certfication from St. Peter's University. I worked for Prudential Financial as a HR Manager and was downsized 8 years ago. I utilized that time to raise my daughters, Tiana 8 and Keelin 5 and to pursue my M.B.A. and Elementary Teaching Certification. Surprisingly and unexpectantly, we are now expecting our 3rd child in July. I was supposed to student teach in September, but will have to delay it until January of 2010. I have been married to my husband Gene for 12 years and have been with him for almost 20 years. We dated as teenagers and grew up on the same block, so I kind of married the "boy next door"!

Teaching is a rewarding experience. It's wonderful to hear that you are going to be an educator. Thanks for sharing. Your eagerness to begin student teaching in January is an affirmation of your commitment to the field and your future students. Good luck. I'm looking forward to future conversations. How do you get a video on a Blog? Do you know? I can't seem to do it.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am eager to begin teaching, although I must admit, I am nervous too. The thought of returning to the workforce after 7 years, in an entirely different career is a bit daunting. However, like all changes in life, it is an inevitable one. It is a change that I am sure will reap unimaginable rewards in the end. But I will have to get used to juggling home life and career life once again.
Also, I am not exactly sure how to add a video, but I attached a photo of myself, so maybe attaching a video would be to include the link??!!
